This site and the instructional institution it represents is committed to offering its members and affiliates the highest quality of instruction possible, while remaining dedicated to the teaching, promotion, and preservation of the traditional Asian martial arts and their philosophies for strengthening the body, balancing the mind and improving the overall health and wellbeing of our students and the community in which we serve.
The Scranton Martial Arts Center (SMAC) is Northeastern Pa's #1 Chinese martial arts school, built on one of the areas oldest martial arts traditions. SMAC's roots have been a landmark in the Scranton PA area for over twenty-five years. The instructors of the Center offer expert instruction in the various aspects of the traditional Chinese and Asian art forms to the residents of North Eastern Pennsylvania and the surrounding area.
Our curriculum and teaching practices focus on practical martial arts not performance or sport arts. It is this reason why we remain unrivaled by any other martial arts school in the region and why the instructors take pride in the level of high quality students that the Scranton Martial Arts Center is known for producing.
